STAR OF THE NORTH HUMANE SOCIETY OFFICE
located at
208 9th Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MN
Star of the North Humane Society is operated entirely by volunteers. We are currently only able to house cats. Our dogs are all in foster care. Our volunteers help with rescuing and re-homing unwanted companion animals. All the animals taken in by us are placed in foster homes until they can find their new homes.
We also facilitate a low-cost spay/neuter program for people with a household income of less that $40,000, and we distribute donated pet food to local food shelves, small rescue groups, and needy individuals. When you call, please leave a clear message. There is no one to take your initial call, but we make every effort to respond as soon as possible. If you have submitted an application to volunteer, foster, or adopt, your application will be processed as soon as possible and you will receive an email or phone call confirming the status.
